Important message for all students
If you are in Year 12, you are approaching a very important point in your Learning Journey. Next week (6 – 10 February) you will sit mock exams. The results of these will form the basis of a predicted grade for your external exams in May/June. Hard work and thorough revision for your mock exams will make revision in the summer much easier. Topics will be familiar because you’ve learnt them once already.
This is an opportunity to make a good start on learning work and establishing a revision routine. The other reason why your mock marks matter is because they are a key factor in supporting your progression to Year 13. Each subject has its own entry requirements to Year 13 and progression is dependent on your exam performance, effort, attitude and attendance.
Progression to Year 13 is not automatic.
In the period following the mock exams, you will have a review with each subject teacher and your tutor to plan your progression. Your mock exam grade is therefore key to this.
Good luck with your exams.
